nitrous Question

RE: nitrous Question
I don't use nitrous and haven't researched it much. But my .02 of somewhat common knowledge without experience using it is:
Both can be bad if used poorly or not correctly. Dry is just nitrous by itself and letting the computer (stock setup) figure out the air/fuel ratios. Wet you control (after market controlled) or add the gas directly to match the air/fuel ratio.
Correct me if I am wrong but, I think that is a good simplified answer. Experienced nitrous uses can now take it away!

RE: nitrous Question
both have risks to them, dry you are relying on you car to provide the fuel to match the N2O. but with wet it mixes the gas and the nitrous but if you run a large shot it could puddle somewhere and that causes a risk of fire. my personal opinion is wet is a little safer than dry. I would not go over a 150 shot just because I am worried about the puddling. if you want anything bigger than that I would go direct inject.

RE: nitrous Question
Anything above 75 shot you need to get a dyno tune to properly and safetly use it. 125 shot is pushing it on a stock internals motor, I would not go above a 100 shot personally. Dry is inserted before the MAF, and is just nitrous. With wet you add both a nitrous and fuel solenoid, and the nitrous system mixes nitrous and fuel and shoots it into the intake manifold. Dry is a lot more hard on your fuel system, if it fails youll go superlean and bye bye motor. Wet runs the risk of intake puddling, and if you backfire and have a plastic manifold, bye bye manifold. Wet is safer, and if you get a aluminum intake, dont have to worry about blowing out the intake (as much).
EDIT: The size of the shot does not effect intake puddling. a 50 shot can puddle in the intake just like a 300 shot can.
