RE: 400RWHP
From what I have read I dont see any problems with going over 400rwhp as long as your tune is good.
Instead of trying to make more horsepower why not just free it up?
A lightweight SFI flywheel, Carbon fiber driveshaft and Pro5.0 gear set willfree upquite a bit of power on your setup.
I know that you have gears already but unless they are Pro5.0 they are not back cut saving you 3.5lbs of rotating weight. At your levels the Carbon fiber driveshaft will free up some big numbers, its SFI and doesnt need heavy driveshaft looks and its stronger than stock or any other aluminum shaft out there.
What is your power at right now?

RE: 400RWHP
Ahh I see 367rwhp.
I dont know if all that rotating mass reduction will give you 33rwhp, it will really help to your overall goal because your engine is still producing all that power. Also reducing that rotating mass will make things easier on your car and it will last long.
People dont listen when it comes to this kinda of rotating weight reduction but it really works, it saves power, saves engine life, nets more fuel economy (Like that matters much for you lol) and overall your car will like you better.
The driveshaft is going to be the most expensive part at right around $700 bux but think about each time you fill that water/alky box. Thats what, about $1dollar a fill for that and you have to do it for each tank of gas you get (Typically) and the snow performance kit is something like $552 then the timing retard is another cost. We will just say that you will be $600 into it for the good kit.
So thats 100 tanks of gas before your at the cost of the driveshaft?
If your car is a DD then I can see that 100 tanks of gas getting eaten up in a year.
So that may justify the driveshaft for you, but you say "What about the flywheel and gears?" well thats just added expense
If you think about the fuel you will save though, PST claims about 2mpg gain with their carb shafts. That will add up quick for you.
I dunno though, do what you want, mustangs neverseem to go that way anyways lol

RE: 400RWHP
ORIGINAL: piledriver
Yeah, when I first got my supercharger installedit was as if I had to learn how to drive the car all over again.
Just don't bang up against the rev limiter like I did at first.
It's real easy to do with 373's, I don't know how you guys with blown 410's can handle it.

dont go over 400rwhp unless you have the cash for a shortblock
