Ram air??
I have to add a few comments here about cold air kits. Not allcold air kits will hydrolock your engine asa blanket statement above indicates.

A properly designed cold air kit has a plenum (or box around the filter) that prevents water from having a direct path into the filter. In addition, the bottom of the box will have a series of drain holes to allow the water to drain out should any be pulled into the plenum (similar to your stock airbox). There is more than one manufacturer that has a setup like this.

Some cold air kits which place the filter low to the ground without a plenum can cause a hydrolock condition unless you have a water bypass valve in series with the intake tubes. A Ram Air setup that has the scoop low on the fascia has just as much of a chance of hydrolocking an engine as these types of cold air intake.

Ram air??
I used 4in aluminum flex duct that extends from the stock intake silencer (which has been cut at the base to match up to the 4in duct using a 4in ring collar as as coupler),down to the opening thats to the right of my left fog light. I drilled a series of 1/8 in holes around the coupling that joins the air intake box and the 4in. duct. The result is the same as sucking out of a straw with a hole in it, plenty of air and no liquid. As Tech wrote, it is very important to use or design a system that will prevent hydrolocking and by all means, stay away from systems that place the filter low to the ground. You will be cleaning or replacing you air filter everyday.
