Okay...take it easy on me with the responses to this question, but:

What is it about the 4.6's that make them so much revvier than the 5.0's? Why is the a 3.73 application in a 5.0 similiar to a 4.10 in a 4.6? I can understand 5.0's having more torque, cuz of the sheer difference in engine size, but what are some of the other differences that make the 4.6L engine peppier on top? Thanks

BTW...my FRPP 4.10's, and FRPP AL DS came in Friday

Umm the 4.6 is cammed and the 5.0 is pushrod. The 4.6 doesn't have to sling around as much weight as a 5.0 in terms or rotating mass.

as far as gears go. it comes down to the gearing in the tranny as well as the power curve of the motor.
