Default 2016 Mustang Spoiler

I am getting a 2016 Ecoboost Premium Mustang with the performance package (67E) which deletes the rear deck spoiler. I like the looks of the spoiler as my current Mustang has one. According to Ford, "No can do!" I don't understand how this can change the performance because of the specific package? Please explain and is there any way around this short of purchasing it after market and installing it????? Thx

The explanation is that's how Ford is doing it.
And no there is no way around it, you will have to go aftermarket.

Thanks, AK. This is what I expected. The spoiler is simply attached through the rear deck with two screws on each side. So I could purchase the part after market and install it my self but for almost $500.00 painted, it isn't that important anymore. I guess I could forgo the Performance Package for $1900.00.

Maybe just maybe, if you have a good dealer, they would agree to swap trunk lid with another car, like they some times do on wheel tire sets.
It's worth a try to ask, as it almost never hurts to ask.

You can also get the rear spolier added on by the dealer. They will sometimes do this is there is a chance you wont buy the car from them if its not included.
