Whine from rearend after LCA install???
So I installed MM lower control arms in my 02GT today. Took it for a ride and it handles like a SOB along with the Pro Kit previously installed however when cruising at a steady speed no noise but when I take my foot off the gas the rearend has a little whine to it. WTF?????????

Thats axle whine and caused by imperfect meshing of the gears causing a resonance. You can try adjusting the gear lash by putting shims on one side or the other of the differential. If its not super loud, its not detrimental just annoying. If it is super loud, you got gear issues like possibly damaged teeth.

But there wasnt any whine at all before install. Now there is. Has anyone else had this happen? I am thinking maybe the control arms moved the axle a hair to the front or rear? Maybe?

If the new control arms have urethane bushings, they will transmit the noise to the body. They are of course a lot stiffer than the factory rubber bushings. Moving the axle forward or back a little should be ok, since the driveshaft spline at the the tranny slides like a telescope.
You're probably ok. Mine axle is pretty loud but when i opened the diff up it looked fine.
