swapped faster?
Ok im kind of scratching my head here. Wondering is a 98 gt with a pi swap done going to outrun a edge? Say both coupe, 5 speeds ,stock, just the 98 has the pi swap? Ive got a 98 and im about to do the conversion. Ive got a buddy with an 01 gt, he thinks he can still outrun me when im done is this true?

RE: swapped faster?
no, technically if everything is 100% the same you will take him because PI swap bumps our compression up, which makes more power. but it's not much of an advantage so it's still very much of a drivers race. if you two are both about equal i'd give the win to you, but it wouldn't be by very much.

I've seen PI head swappers with good tunes make 255rwhp but never any more. I made 261-265 NA on 3 different dynos and I hadn't ever been beat by a PI swapped SN. I'm a fair driver. I have a full PI engine and even still have my stock 2.73 gears. My tuner uses SCT.

when you pi swap like said your compression ratio is higher than ours so you make a few more ponies stock for stock. donno wut gears your car has though but if they the same as the edges then it will be a drivers race but you will still have SLIGHTLY more power.

I'm making 260.7 rwhp and 302.0 rwtq with aPI swap, Flowmaster exhuast, BBK h-pipe, 70 mm tb, and SCT tune. I've raced a '97 Cobra (exhaust and 3.55's) and '00 GT (exhaust and intake) and I was dead even with both of them. I don't know what kind of driver's they were, but I'm not the best.
