abs light on traction control off
I have a 2000 mustang gt manual and my traction control switch is stuck off. the abs light is stuck on. Sometimes it will work for a few minutes or a whole drive, but most of the time the abs light is on and the tc switch is off and wont switch on. what could it possibly be?

My 2002 GT has the same issue. It's been that way now for about 2 years. I had a friend check it with a Snap-On code reader and it said that the "ABS Pump" is bad. He told me that it is the unit that controls the ABS. Since this ABS pump is pretty expensive, I've just been driving it as is. It still stops really, reallygood, but the brakes will lock up if you hit them hard enough.
I've always found the traction control very annoying, so it doesn't bother me one bit that it does not work.

+1, I've had the same problem but it doesn't really bother me. I haven't once had my car lock up on me...

With the new tires on it it stops much, much better.

im not worried about my tires locking up.... i just think its an eye sore to see the abs light on all the time. And i want all my features to work. So most likely a sensor on the wheel or abs pump?
