A 96GT with 49k miles, 5 speed,leather interior, for $7,899. It has a paxton supercharger, but the car is completely stock.. it does NOT have an intercooler installed.. from what i know, if a car has a turbo or a supercharger it should have an intercooler to keep the engine from gettin too hot, right? I need to know if i would need to install an intercooler if so how much would it cost to buy one and which ones are good to buy. I plan on installing aftermarket air intake and exhaust as well. please let me know [align=right][/align]

Some come with intercoolers some dont. Google is your friend

so? it doesn't need an intercooler. i'd take it to a shop to make sure everything is ok, especially the air/fuel. i ran 10psi non-cooled for awhile and was fine. if he just used a handheld to tune it, then i wouldn't touch that car.

If the car is set properly now, and you want to up the Boost, then YES.

and maybe a grand for a whole intercooler setup?

The Cobrs Flies, Jan 08 edition of MMFF. Its a 98 cobra running 12 psi non intercooled. Those guy's know what their doing with all the timing and crap involved. Most kits come 6 to 8 psi non intercooled and 8 and up intercooled.

i say just throw a meth kit on it for ~$400 for a really good one and be done with it. ~40RWHP right there!

nanaki can you safely run meth injection.......like from snow....... on a stock NPI HCI and still see decent gains?
