Default STB needed?

are strut tower braces needed on our cars? I don't think they are but I have a JLT intake on my car and can't use the brace, and my dad thinks that without the brace it will flex & all that good stuff. I know they aren't really needed but I'd just like to know if it actually does anything bad to the car without it for awhile.thanks

They are definately not required. I have one and felt a decent change in the handling of the car, plus they look b/a. How does your RAI interfere with a stb?

The JLT tubing is massive and usually doesn't fit under a strut tower brace.

My car came with a Ford oem strut tower brace. when i did my blower i had to take it off and i noticed more than anything the amount of cowl shake i got. I added a Steeda strut tower brace to clear my tubing and it got noticibly better.
