A cobra forged crank is fine for well over 1000hp. MMR uses them in their race cars (2000hp). Don't waste your money on a billet unless you're gutting the car and starting a race car project. Billet cranks are for serious race applications only.Forged is plenty strong for1000hp, and that includes forgedrods and pistons. Go to MMRwww.modularmustangracing.com . They have some good info.

Ok, cool. Thanks for the help. Looks like billet would be a little bit of overkill. They were using billet rods in their 2,000 hp longblock, and I don't think I'll be going that high up the power ladder, haha.

what you should do, is sell your car and buy mine. you'll get the built motor, tran, everything at a fraction of the cost

just look at what other people in that horsepower range are running. a 1000 horsepower build should hold up just fine with a totally forged setup.
