With suspension mods that would mean great traction, you can get a GT with a stock engine run low 13's. Also a 5 speed..

Most GT's will not run 13's, but the latest edition of the 4.6 definitely can dip into 13's on a good day at the track, andif you know how to launch and shift well. Actually, its impressive, cause the Mach 1 is only rated at 13.8-13.9 stock as well. Not sure about low 13's with suspension mods, but who knows. GT's DO rock!

Yes, all it takes is suspension mods to throw a stock motor 2001+ GT into low 13's.

Mach 1's do NOT run 13.8-13.9 stock. They run under 13.6 stock all day, with conditions and a good driver. Several people are down near 13.0-13.2 with stock Mach 1's.

What kind of suspension mods are we talking about? Cuz the Mach 1 has MUCH better suspension than GT (probably more road race though... not drag) and alot more power, and it's only low-mid 13s...

I ran 14.03 - 14 .05 all night at the track with my 03 gt and my reaction times sucked.. .4, .3. My trap speed was over 100. However my friend was there with his 03 convert auto and couldn't drop below 15. He also had done an exhaust, chip, 373 gears as well. I think there is a good deal of variation right from the factory as well as in the way you initially drive the car from new.

Your reaction time doesn't effect your ET unless you are racing, not test & tune.

Springs, radials...

Well on Sunday my bro helped install the K&N FIPK 2 CAI on the convert. auto. It sucks much more air and my friend said it's a lot faster in the top end. Also how could the break-in effect current times? My friend (Ashwin) with the convert. auto. and myself lined our Stang's up at a light last night to see. My car broken in w/4200 miles and stock. His K&N CAI (see above) and 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I got off the light first but we stayed even the whole time. I don't really like street racing but I couldn't resist.

The break in stuff is stupid.

You know how many times I've seen my brother take a 700hp big block WOT on a dirt track 10 minutes after we started it for the first time and just gave it enough time for the cam to break in and do an oil change..
