Default Chip in Gears?

So i bought 4.10s about a year ago and they have been sittling in my room since because ive been tight on cash. Since then while i was at college my parents switched my room to another one (actualy its not even a room, just a landing). Anyway i went to look at my gears today and there a tiny chip about a quater inch on one of the teeth on the pinion spline. It must have got damaged when they swapped rooms. Is this going to be a problem?

Yes major problem. They are no longer useable.

$470 for install? WTF. $250 is outragous for a gear install. I had one set thrown in for $200 and the set I have now for $50. Shop around.

that sucks to bad you couldn't have sent them back if it has not been a long time, i would ask your parents about it, gears are not too expensive maybe they will help you pay for them

If i break something of theres in the house i pay for it, and vice versa. And im not asking them to buy me new ones, just see if the can help me pay for new ones. We work things out very respectfully, so take your sacrcasim elsewhere.

Sorry to hear about the gears, but if you replace them, get Ford Racing gears and not the Motives.
