Tint Question for VA stangers
I currently live in MD but will be moving to VA in a couple months. I was going to have my car tinted 35% (legal MD limit). Will I pass in VA? The VA limit is 50% but do they really check it? Can someone suggest tips or enlighten me on the laws (how strict are they, etc) Why couldnt I just leave my windows down when I got it inspected? thanks

What part of va will you be moving to? Will you be keeping your MD plates? I am in the Hampton roads area and the are not to strict during inspections. I have had my stang since 04 and they have never put it on a rack or jacked it up to look for my cats. I think you will be o.k. If you are coming to my area p.m. mwe and i will let you know where to get it inspected.

2 months ago I got pulled over on an extremely cloudy day with 35% sides in Roanoke. He tested the windows and it came to 38%.
It cost me $91. [:@] With that being said, I've had my windows tinted for about 3 years with no previous issues. When I was pulled over, I had 3 police officers pull me over at the same time. I think they were just bored.
