The seven year ownership you are talking about refers to if you have changed your intakewithin 7 years of ownership because it was defective. Remember the suit was settle in 05, so someone who paid to have their intake replaced in 03 is entitle to a refund. Ford will reinburse you $735 if you do not have a recipt or a full refund if you do. But if you have not change it, you are entitle to a new intake by law without lime frame limit.

Yes, I have done it to two my 98GT's. This How it works:
First scenario: you bought a model year car in 98. Your maniful broke in 2001. You fixed your car in 2001. You go to the dealer today and they will give you $735 if you don't have the receipt or the full amount for the repairs if you haveit.

Second scenario: you boughta model yearcar in 98. Your car broke yesterday. You takeyour car to the dealership tomorrow and you will get a brand new Ford part installed on your carabsolutely free.

As simple as that. Now ifthe dealership does not want to do it for you. I feel very sorry for you because the dealer charges $1600 for the part and labor. All I know is that the recall is there and I've taken my two cars to have it done without the part been broken and no questions were asked.

I bought a 2001 Mustang GT 4.6 about 4 months ago and just developed the cracked intake manifold in the area of the thermostat. You don't happen to know where
I can find more details about this class action settlement so I can use it to get my intake replaced by the dealer?
