I don't think I ever notice anything when I use it on the defroster.

I never paid much attention to it.

Well I had an old Ford Granada that would do that and it was a leaky heater core.

Question

*UPDATE*

Got my car checked out. I have a cracked heater core.. It's going to be $650 flat (cash). My only question... Is it worth it? I'm guessing it's been this way since last year since I've been having this problem since then. Could this turn into a bigger problem? Should I look for a better rate?

I felt a little weird about what my mechanic said.. He told me my antifreeze was on the rugs of my carpet and you could smell it as well.. I've never smelled antifreeze coming from my rugs... O_o..

What do you guys think?

Do it yourself. It not that hard. $650 seems a little steep

I heard it was a 6 hour job. I'm not comfortable doing it. I'm a novice.

You can do it yourself, but it is a very labor intensive job. It's definitely worth fixing. It shouldn't cause any other problems. $650 isn't rediculous, but shop around, you might find a better deal.

Yes you have to get it fixed. Your leaking coolant. Have you checked your coolant level? It will only get worse.

Apparently the crack isn't that bad because I never have to fill the coolant levels up that much...

The only reason why I'm hesitant to fix this problem is I don't have a lot of money on hand right now.

I wouldn,t what until it got worse. The cores are cheap. Just some work involved

I can't put it in myself... I'm really not good with tools and taking cars apart...
