Default need help with oil leak

ok so i have a little oil leak and i think i know where its coming from. I beleive it is coming from the area where the oil filter and oil pressure sensor is i think. but it is leaking from the little allen wrench bolt thingy. Could it be that i would just have to tighten this bolt up maybe. ill have pics uploaded of the area im talking about asap. I guess what im trying to ask is, is this a common spot for a leak

Could pull it off and put a little thread sealant on it.

Please replace that oil filter because fram filters are junk.

The filter material and amount used is terrible. The drain back valves can fail letting unfiltered oil through. The use a cardboard spring instead of metal etc. Have been known to fall apart and put debris into the engine also.

Here's a good thread about it and the info is on line if you search

Fram isnt nececarilly a bad filter... as long as you replace it every 3k your fine... i would tighten the bolt up and go from there... i use Royal Purple... just because I like the feeling of having that little extra protection... but I am also not stock! I use Motorcraft oil filters.

Yes they're that bad..

I have read threads of them coming a part after a few miles letting bad oil pass by the check valve as soon as you but them on. One was so bad one it destroyed the motor because it put parts of itself into the engine( I'm pretty sure that was over at modulardepot).

I would rather use cheap oil and a good filter than the other way around, and change it every 3k. The Fram extra guard is a little better but not by much. The motorcraft oil filter is inexpensive and made well so why not use it?

I usually don't say this about any product ( except Sumitomo 325's, proffesional product fuel rails etc.) but they are worst filters have made and even if they sponsored me I still wouldn't use their oil filters.
