Question Bad synchros, bad tyranny, or clutch adjustment...

Hey guys getting the car looked at this week but just kinda what the advice of all of you mustang experts. Here's my problem. After I installed my spec clutch the car grinds going into the third gear. It want do it unless I've driven it for say 30 mins and it only does it when I'm on her hard going from 2nd to 3rd are if the rpms are hanging preety high. I can wait until the rpms dip down and it shifts perfectly (from 2nd to 3rd). Any advice or has anyone had this happen to them?

I would make sure my clutch is adjusted properly first.

Yeah man that's the idea. Gonna take it to a tranny shop have the adjust and make sure all of the fluids are right. Like I said car never did it before I put the clutch in and I can wait until the rpms die down and she goes right into third....

Do you have an aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster?

I've got the same issue with mine but grinds a bit from 1st to 2nd. When going from 2nd to third at high rpms it won't even let me shift. If i drive very easy the tranny doesn't make any noise. It turns out my sychros are gone or on their way. Mine is in the shop right now getting a complete tranny rebuild. It sucks! I could have just had the synchros replaced but since they're in there i'll just have it all done for a little more money. My bet is that your synchros are going. Good luck

I'd say its the wild dictator thats run amuk making all his own rules not letting it shfit right.

You spelled tranny wrong, and turned it into a form of goverment run by 1 man or a small group that has absolute power.

Congratulations.
