why would you want ot put a 3v in your car i wouldnt have 3v nothing from ford they have problems with the cam phasers the spark plugs break off in the head when you go to change them. also its more extensive to put a 3v in it other than a 4v you have to have the gas pedal b/c its drive by wire. You have to have the wiring harness pcm brackets for the pcm b/c it bolts up differently It would be alot of time and money you would probably come cheaper doing a 4v swap.

nobody does, you just switch the throttle body to cable... not complicated. And if your familiar with motors then switching the cam adjuster is nothing also. The spark plugs fugg up if you remove them when the head is hot, yes that sucks, but 2v heads arn't known for superior plug bongs either. You can just switch to 3v heads, or you can use the computer stuff, imo its not worth it do to a 3v head if your going to get rid of the vct, you might as well go 4v. But parts, cams and labor for porting are all considerably cheaper on 3vs. Also, I dont think its the muffler location that makes 3v sound like poo, theyre just different. I have dumps on my 2v and it sounds nasty. But if you consider all of this with the fact that you can buy a 5.4 3v out of an f150 for 1000-1500 bucks, if your willing to do a little of thinking, its worth it imo, but only if your willing to lose some creature comforts that you stock car has, unless you want to get really smart and figure all the electronic extras out.

i would personally do the 5.4 3v also because if your gonna go to the trouble then why not go all the way. also the 3v is a good swap because you have about the same amount of cfm flow as a 4v at half the cost of the valvetrain. hell 600 bux for cams versus 1200 dollars should be reason enough.

that is just dumb...guys cut the exhaust off of 2Vs after the mufflers (its called dumps) and it really doesnt change the sound (just louder inside). If you have some sort of proof of this strange claim, let me know (not trying to be a dick, just honestly curious).

I'd go with dropping in a old cobra 4V.
