your sure the socket is full of crap ? ...or is it the rubber sleeve that is there to hold on to the plug

it looks like a little rusty build up at the bottom of the hole after taking out the rubber sleeve

Well I went and got a 5/8" spark plug socket and a new plug just in case. After I got the cop out, I put the socket and my extension down in the hole after blowing it out with an air can. I realized I needed a longer extension to be able to get my torque wrench on it. It was obviously loose though, I could turn it with just the socket and extension in my hand. I just tightened it down with a regular socket (not too tight just slightly past hand tight). I'm going to just order a set of TR6s and replace them all next weekend. I think it will be fine until then. It just backed itself out a little bit.

Don't get TR6's for your car they are the wrong plug for your setup and will foul out. If you want to use NGK then get TR5's. That is the stock heat range.

Default common problem

Is this a common prob? I am going to check mine tomorrow. Any other things to check for a whistling noise? I earlier posted what mods my car has. Thanx in advance for any info

You are playing with fire here...

There is a very good possibility that by next weekend you will be looking at needing a Time-Sert (not cheap--to do it right) or a new head (also not cheap).

Do NOT drive the car without the plug properly torqued!!!

It just backed itself out a little bit.
Yeah, but you see it's not supposed to "back out" at all, everytime that cylinder fired (fires) you are pounding the crap out of the spark plugs threads in the head!

I understand conceptually that it's not a great idea. But I've driven it for at least 2 months loose. It's hard for me to believe that now that I've tightened it, it's going to actually blow out within the next week. I drive it less than 50 miles a week.

Is it still making that chirping sound after you tightned it? If not then drive it's ***** off. 13ft lbs is just a bit past hand tight anyways. I have never used a torque wrench when installing plugs and never once had a problem.
