the best satisfaction came hearing it run right and realizing nothing INTERNAL WAS SCREWED UP.

Flywheel is external and only cost$15 for another used one,

Ive heard far more worse mistakes than what I did requiring engine replacement, or repair.

Wink

Even if you dont port the heads, do the PI swap on the NPI block and get a tune.

Really wakes up the car.

My bother and I (we were drinking beer, not the best idea) put his new motor and transmission in his 96 cobra with out a freaking clutch fork... not really a costly mistake but a time consuming one.

Here ya go buddy these guys do porting on NPI heads for like 120$ more. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT . I'm looking to do ported NPI heads with my Saleen Supercharger to keep the low compression ratio so I can feed it some more air without it blowing up on me. If you decide to do a similar setup Livernois performance makes an adapter plate from npi to pi, but it's a little price, but worth the stock compression. Good luck, and I hope your build goes smoothly.

But he's ASE certified, lol.

An aggressive 93 octane dyno tune will be nice, with the bump in compression, your going to have to stay 93 octane, the 4.6 is a ping master/
The bump in compression doesn't do as much as you think. Unless you're talking about a nitrous car, the bump in compression is only good for about 5-10hp. The average rwhp for a PI 2v with o/r H, exhaust, and a throttle body is between 250rw and 260rw.(Tuned of course) I was on the later with dynos ranging from 255-265 with stock compression.

I think anyone looking to leave the NPI would be crazy to not just swap in a full PI engine or a 4v engine.
