Diablo Chip

Diablo Chip
I bought my '01 GT in 2004, and it had flowmasters and a K&N CAI. I bought it when I was 20 and I had no idea what the hell I was doing when it came to mods, so I asked my friends and they suggested that I get a diablo chip and 4:10's, so thats what I had done. Since then I have replaced the rest of the intake and exhaust systems myself as well as drivetrain and suspension mods. So now, I'm ready to get the car dynoed/tuned, because I'm sure the fuel/air ratio is all out of wack and I'm only getting 16/21 mpg no matter how I drive it. I've taken it to a couple of places around the Charleston, SC area (where I reside) and they won't touch it. I understand that there are different ways to tune a car, wether it be a chip or a tuner you plug into the computer, but I don't know how they did it, because like I said earlier I was young and I didn't know much about the subject. But what I would like is for it to be tuned based on the mods it has now. Then I want to get a tuner, so that if I decide to do something else to the car I can adjust as necessary. I am open to constructive criticism, if I screwed up by getting that chip, or if I sound like I don't know what I'm talking about please correct me.

I dont know much either seeing as i just got my mustang last year and not sure what to mod but what i do know is several mustang shop guys said that even just changing the intake requires a tuner thats why they usually sell them together, it could be a scam cause the tuner was alot of money but i know ill need it later anyways, but the exhaust change definitely changes air flow and could be the reason the car has such bad mpg. i think a tune would help greatly.
