Whining gears
rebuilt the diff and reinstalled everything. backlash is at .008, bearing caps and ring gears torques to specs. Impacted the pinion flange. Put the paint in the teeth and rotated and the wear pattern is right in the middle.
sounds ok driving there is a slight whine, but decel sounds terrible. These are richmond gears, but they was not that bad when before me and my dad rebuilt.
Any suggestions?
