Default windshield wipers

windshield wipers stopped working. replaced the motor and they still dont work. they ran for about 4 seconds after i replaced the motor and then stopped. any suggestions?

relays and wiring start checking. or the switch.

This is why you dont throw parts at a car without diagnosing it first

Check the windsheilf wiper on/off relay in the battery junction box. It could also be a faulty multifunction switch.

i think i put it on wrong. i think the rod that attaches to the motor is binding. i might not have put it on in the correct position so when i try the wipers, there isnt anywhere for the wipers to turn. does that make sense? i think i need to make sure the wipers are all the way in the down position when installing it onto the motor...

its fixed... i put everything on right. wouldnt work. for future reference when u replace the motor u have to reset the computer lol. stupid thing i know. my mom took it to a shop and it cost her $32.50 for them to disconnect the battery and reattach it lol.

Thats always a bummer.

Sorry if I jumped the gun a bit. I was under the assumption by the first post that you just slapped a new motor on there and were praying for the best. Which in some cases works, but in most...not
