More than likely not. Mine was working fine (with current dyno numbers in sig) but it was running at 95-100% capacity. I upgraded simply because i didn't want my pump stressing that hard everytime i sprayed.

Wait a minute...didn't this question just get asked the other day in this very part of the forum?

Anyways some people will say yes you do need a new pump because you are nearly maxing out your fuel pumps load and others will say no. I say no, you don't need a new pump but it isn't a bad idea to get one to be on the very safe side.

But I guess I didn't answer your question. The answer is yes you need a fuel pump to run nitrous, or the car at that ha ha ha

Dont worry about it, especially if you have a wet kit the fuel that sprays through the nozzle will be calibrated to a specific amount along with the nitrous. Your safe. Spend money on a window swtich, or just get a wot switch and risk it. youll be ok.

i ran my stock 4.6 with the factory pump for about 3 months until i found out i was getting to a very unsafe lean point in in the top of third(my car is an auto so it would be top of 4th for a 5spd). put a focus pump in and never had a issue again till the i got cocky anf grenaded the motor with a 150 shot. jusy absoultly under no reason hit the kit in overdrive in an auto or 5th in a 5spd. It will go lean and most likly pop number 4 or 8 cyl.

Yep, mine started running a little lean when the juice hit at 3k, and at the top of 4th with the stock pump. Now, with focus pump, it's running at 75% capacity with no more lean spikes.
