Hey guys just checking about an issue I'm having sporadically. I'm still running on a bad TOB but I don't really drive my car that much but here lately every couple weeks my Speedo will just start jumping like crazy. Sometime even when I start my car all my gauges wind all the way to the right but then go back to normal. But when I have the problems its just my Speedometer, my rmp gauge all my other gauges work all the time. But here randomly my speedo will just be buried at 0 while I'm going 55 and every other second it jumps up to 55 and back and forth, coincidentally my radio volume/quality drops significantly as the gauge drops. So it's very weird. It seams electrical but something worries me that the tranny could be doing something or the TOB to my speed sensor. I searched and found basically nothing on similar post. Tighten or change your Speed sensor on the side of your transmission. Your radio may have speed controlled volume (Louder at hwy speeds & lower at idle speeds. It's there to combat car/road noise)

is it just your speed gauge or do all gauges do it?

when the gauges sweep back and forth doesnt that mean low battery power?

If it's just his speedo and radio, no.

Ya it is just the Speedo and Radio for some reason that are affected while driving. But when I first start the car ALL the gauges go all the way to the right but stay normal while driving. Also u were mentioning battery power i did notice before that alot of green acid on my post I cleaned that all up w/ baking soda and water and it was back in like 2 weeks. Just another note.

Reach your hand under your car and more around your speed sensor and make sure it's tight. That's your problem.

Ok guys sorry, got under the car the speed sensor seams fine, not loose I kinda moved it a bit but didn't seam loose at all, does this probably just mean I have a faulty speed sensor it almost seams like its shorting out or something. I just dont wanna change it out and still there being a problem.

Fix the cheapest things first... That's the cheapest thing.

i have a 2002 mustang gt i recently just bought a new battery for it but when i start driving off my gauges and dash lights start flickering on and off and my radio starts to cut off as well. but the car still drives good anyone know what this might be? i will greatly appreciate it thanks!
