t-45 vs t-5 which one is gonna be harder to rebuild, ive torn apart my t-45 like 5 times now haha, and im lookin at a 95 gt that has a blown second gear, i kno i can rebuild it, im just kinda curious if anyone has had experience with both of em. cuz if i remember correctly i think they are almost identical transmissions. thanks

The t5's come apart different and are quite a bit easier to rebuild I'd say. My dad has rebuilt plenty of t5's and said my old t45 is a pain in the *** compaired to the t5's.

i have no experience with the t45 but right now I'm doind a t5 and it's pretty easy. I bought a video (www.badshoeproductions.com) and after watching it I think even a monkey with a set of wrenches could do. I'd be done by now but I'm too lazy to go to the auto hobby shop to use the press, haha
