Where? No linky. BTW, by autopsy of the old engine, I found the problem with the new one. Two bad lash adjusters in the old one, which caused the exact same noise. Now I just have to pull the valve cover on mine and change it out.

Sounds like a timing chaing rattle. Did you replace the tensioners when you rebuilt the motor?

Sounds like timing chain rattle to me. That or an exhaust leak. Were the tensioners replaced on the timing system? You wont always hear it at idle.

Nope. I don't hear anything coming from the timing cover though.

Hmm. Then I say it's a lash adjuster. It sounds very much like mine when it revs up. I have pulled the valve cover on mine and I will see if I find it. When I do, I will post back here.

Dude I really cant hear ****, even in the intervals you provided. The only odd thing I hear is the "deep pulsating sound" that sxy described. The only thing a noise like that can mean is lack of compression in one or more cylinders or an exhaust leak. However I have a feeling its the camera giving that noise more than anything.
