Default update on my driverside leak

that is the leak on the driver side.

how can i fix that?

i was thinking of just shoving a lot of silicone into it...but that might not be a good idea.

leak of what? water?

if its water, i would go in the engine bay(this seems to be a pic from inside the car under drivers side dash) and silicone around wherever that is. looks like just a wiring harness. i wouldnt silicone the inside because then the water would sit in the gromet, if you silicone the engine bay side your not allowing the water to get in.

i actually traced it today and it turns out to be the hood release cable...it looks like it got torn up or something when i look in through the engine.

i put a lot of silicone around it today from the engine side...hopefully it works...its a light rain now and theres no drip inside so far....im gonna check again tomorrow
