Default Street Legal Headers...Help

Does anybody run CARB legal headers? I'm looking for a set for my 04 GT. Do you know the make and EO numbers for these? ....Thanks

i don't know if there is such a thing. maybe some shorties have them but shorties aren't worth the money. pretty sure there isn't a single LT thats street legal in cali.

The FRPP shorties used to be legal, the only ones I'm sure of that are still legal are the JBA shorties. You're looking at around $550 in parts for about 6 hp & 6 ft.lb. tq. We're screwed here in Cali., I keep thinking about registering my car out of state, somewhere I can get away with a little more (it's a pain, but I know people who've pulled it off before). The visual inspection and scrutiny our cars here in CA are put through just kills me. I can't wrap my head around why anything other than the sniffer should matter. If a given car's emissions output is less than the "Max. Allowable" for that vehicle, then nobody should care much about what combination of parts is beneath the hood. Essentially, it is just another way for the Great State of California to procure revenues, by requiring aftermarket manufacturers to pay sizeable amounts of money for their parts to undergo state sanctioned laboratory testing.

LT are not CARB approved because you have to change out your cats. The only thing you can do is run shorties with stock cats.
