3.00" pulley came today what kind of boost to expect?
Hey Guys, my new 3" pulley came today for my p1sc procharger with 3 core intercooler, my question is how much more boost can i expect and will I need to get a different belt?
Thanks

3.8" is the 8 lb pulley on a stock motor. I'm running a 3.7" pulley and getting 8.9 psi at 6000 rpms. ProCharger say's that for every 1/10 of an inch smaller size you get approximately 1 psi more. If that holds true you should be getting around 15-16 psi. If you have long-tubes and an o/r mid-pipe it would be approximately 14-15 psi. The 3.0" pulley is the smallest recommend by ProCharger for the six-rib P-1SC. You may have some trouble with belt slippage. The D-1SC and the P-1SC have different internals. I was told that for the same size pulley the D-1SC will generate 4-5 more lbs of pressure.
Edit: Vortechs and Prochargers run a different size pulley for the same level of boost.

Don't throw too much boost on the stock bottom end.
Def look into an 8 rib kit if you are going to be running 16lbs. There are a few good companies out there and you can also "piece together" an 8 rib kit through ford from the Triton engines.

Hey whats up? Have you looked into getting a overdrive crank pulley instead of a smaller supercharger pulley? You can make more boost by A. getting a smaller supercharger pulley or B. You can Get a bigger pulley at the crank. both ways make the supercharger spin faster. But if you get the smaller pulley for the supercharger your belt will slip. Where if you get the bigger pulley for the crank You will not have any problem with your belts slipping. the downlide is there harder to find and cost a bit more.
