Valve problem?

Valve problem?
Put the long tube headers on and a couple days later my engine starts tapping really loud on the drivers side. It stays relatively quiet at idle but around 2000 rpm its almost painful to listen to it. I think a valve might be messed up but not totally sure, any signs I should notice besides the obvious noise?
