Will a vortech s/c from a 98gt, bolt on a 99-04 gt engine???

internals are pretty much the same except the pistons are flat topped compared to slightly dished pistons on the PI cars if im not mistaken. this means your compression ratio is slightly higher with the NPI block which yields better horsepower on a NA car, but higher compression isnt necessarily a good thing when you have a blower/turbo.

Well, here is a little update, i talked to my mechanic and The car will be getting a low mileage 99-03gt engine. I talked to him that s/c might not fit but he said everything will be put together just like it should... My total would be $1700

thats not bad if it includes the new engine....if thats 1700 just labor, i would look elsewhere

1700 covers the engine and labor. He said it will take a while to look for a low mileage engine though... Not a big deal
