Default Tach Install

Does anyone know if there is a way to install an aftermarket tach (specifically autometer sport comp silver) without that tach driver?

You can not install a tach in a '99+ Mustang without the tach adapters.

dude you got a tach already. just hook up a shift light. Thats all you need. If your racing you dont want to sit and watch the tach, and a yellow bright light just reminds you OH S**T SHIFT.

The stock tach is not as accurate as say any Autometer one. Yes, it will make a difference.

I believe on the '99 and newer you will still need a adaptor for a shiftlight.
