Default 96 V6 Gauges (Temp)

In my car I all ready know the Tach. is messed up and I have seen where you can take it apart and solderer a connection to make it work correctly.

My question is is there something like this for the Temp?

Normal operation for the Temp guage was it to sit straight in the middle of the normal range. Until The other day. I was driving to a get together and the needle was past normal and just under the Red line. I was just a block or so from where I was gonging so I babied her hover there.

After arriving I opened the hood to take a look and a smell. All looked ok and it did not smell like she was overheating .. I took my buddies truck to get some Green water for it.. (Antifreeze not Toledo lake water .. lol) When I got back my friend had opened the cap and said that it did not act she was hot.

The car only took like a 1/4 of gal to top her off.

I let the Car run in the drive way for 20 mins or so and the gauge never got past 1st "N" in normal. Then I had and Idea took my phone out and hooked it to the OBDII tester that is in the car and that said the temp was at 200 .. it walked around for a while from 190 to 210. Sitting at Idle and I ran her at 2k for a bit.

Mine does the same thing when its low on water/coolant. Also is the fan working? Driving a car will put more load on an engine than just idleing, causing more heat
