Default Water pump removal

Breaking down my block just can't seem to get the water pump off. Maybe I'm just tired and missing something? But I don't know

I had to use a hard plastic mallet to bang on a couple of the mounting ears, one on each side, to make it rotate back-and-forth in the bore a bit--to break the corrosion.

Once it broke free and would rotate 1/16" inch each way I tapped a sharply ground cold chisel, lightly and a bit at a time, behind those same ears until I could get a couple small bars in there and prise it out.

The new pump I got from Autozone has reliefs milled on the back of those same ears to assist in prising it out--next time...
