It wont hurt you your check engine light will be on though. Unless get these http://www.americanmuscle.com/stmilel.html. An o/r h and flowmasters sounds great even though its the generic mustang exhaust setup. If your gonna do it get the Mils and just buy an o/r h pipe unless you know how to weld. I made my o/r pipe but ive been welding for 5 years. You can pick them up pretty cheap on craigs or even on the classifieds on here. Good luck!

i disagree.. it was my assumption that the car would actually run richer to try to compensate for the check engine light. i've been wrong before tho

I'm pretty sure the front o2s are what adjust fuel etc. The rear o2s are purely for emission control. Since the fronts are before the cats anyway, it wouldnt make a difference.

NO, No, no...

Also, I have no idea what "...run richer to try to compensate for the check engine light." could possibly mean...

ALL the rear sensors do is monitor the the efficiency of the catalytic converters, and trigger the SES and a number of DTCs if their efficiency is sub-par. On our cars they have no impact on the engine's operation.

It is true that there are some scalars available in the tune that can force the mix rich if the exhaust flange or cat temp is too high, and some other conditions--however the 4.6L 2V engine lacks the sensors to monitor these conditions and the "switches" for these conditions are either turned off or ignored by the PCM...
