Hey im looking for some tips or even someone to tell me how to install motor mounts any help is appreciated.

I've never done motor mounts on a 4.6 but I've done them on both my 89 gt and 95 cobra. Both times I've gotten prothan mounts and it wasn't to bad. If you get a board to equal out the weight on the oil pan and jack it up after unbolting the mounts to gain enough clearance to pull out the old ones and get the new ones in. I remember hearing there was a difference in height between the prothan and energy suspension mounts and something about the convertable mounts being shorter. I strongly advise against solid mounts. They were on my 89 gt when I bought it and it shook horribly and ended up breaking.
I recommend doing them one side at a time i don't know about the 4.6s but on the ones I did I took both out before trying to install the new ones and they were different. Its not hard to tell the sides apart but after busting your knuckles a couple times trying to wedge it in there to find out its the wrong side got annoying.

The K-Frame is bothersome when getting the back bolts, but its doable with the right extensions and swivels. If you have long tubes that can make the process more difficult as well. by using a block of wood and a jack under the oilpan you can manipulate the motor to get better angles.

I do have shorty bbk ceramic headers you think those will be troublesome? im going to attempt the install in a couple of months when the car is back on the road. Thanks for the help.

The shorties shouldn't really cause a problem.
