Just quick question but why would you put IRS in a gt. I love my gt handling more than any cobra I've been in. In fact I like it mo than my dads vette. Plus it's better for drag racing. I guess to each his own.

the solid axle setup in our cars wasnt designed very well for handling lateral force. with enough force from cornering, the axle will move an inch or more each way side to side. here a guide that will go in depth and will save me time explaining.

i went with the irs fo the ride quality, better handling and i like to corner carve

IRS is a step up from the stock 4-link, but what about a 3-link Torque arm/PHB or Watts setup?

whats an IRS cost these days?

back On topic: if i had to dish out the cash for a manifold, it'd be for an awesome looking sheet metal one like the logan peice.

since the irs was designed to "bolt in" to a 99-04 mustang and not designed "with" the car, it has weak points. but it is a great step from the solid. the ph bar and watts link is a great mod you can do to the solid. both set ups can be made into corner carving beast if youhave deep pockets. i picked up my 03 irs for 750. it came with mm bushings though out the whole thing, mm sub frame brace, diff bace, 373 gears and brakes. everything to put it in pretty much except exhaust ( i wanted something else other than what he had)

Idk i mean i didn't do a before/ after. But id think it'd be 10-15 up top. May lose a little bit down low. Unless you're boosted

woah, just found the edelbrock on jegs for 290$.... too bad it needs alot of other stuff... i'd be interested in what kind of gains it would get with their elbow and a 90mm fox race throttle body... and i wonder how it responds to boost...

Default Fuel rail differences on the Edelbrock 28385

No one has asked this so..........
What is different about the fuel rails that makes
buying a new one necessary?
In looking at the Edelbrock 28385 intake pics
The only difference I see is the mounting holes.
They look to be in the same place but the drilled in
up and down where the stock ones are mounted sideways.

Has anyone tried to keep and use the stock rails?

Actually it's the other way around. Stock manifold holes are up and down (vertical) and the Edlebrock holes are sideways (horizontal).
