Yep, Craigslist or eBay is the way to go, I am an auto transport broker so if you find an out of state buyer which is usually the case with eBay, I can help you get it shipped, or you can run a local eBay ad for $15....try Craigslist first...and if you have enough thread counts post it here onthe classifieds, I need 4 more posts and I am putting mine on there, want to go Cobra or Mach 1 next...

I am in the same boat as you. I have more mods than you have, and to sell her it would be like giving it away. I paid $29,500 new in 2003, and have put in over $17,000 in mods since then. My new motor alone was $7000, the Supercharger $5500, that's $12500 right there alone. Add the Tonneau Cover @ $1000, rims and tires $1400, Lightbar $700, Billitt $600, we are up to $16200, and there is still more. The car itself just turned 70000 miles, but the motor has only 16000 on it. I 've been told only a true Mustang enthusiast would buy her, because #1 I would never sell her, #2 I wouldn't take less than $20000 for her. I know that number is rediculous, so I keep her. She is worth $47,000 to me, but I love her!!!! Good luck.

You can see that the Mach 1 MSRP was $510 less than a Premium GT Convertible--If the fellow above paid close to MSRP, and your friend got a year-end deal. The manufacturers often change the "sticker" price throughout the year to move slow item from inventory, or make more on hot items. If so then it comes together.

Here are the 2003 MSRP prices from the Red Book:

Before I bought my '03 GT I drove a '03 V-6 (5-speed) convertible at a local dealer's lot. I went to look at in in my '92 15 psi boosted Miata, and drove it less than 1/4 mile before bringing it back to the lot, literally up the street to the first opportunity to U-turn and bring it back.
I told the salesman I would never own a vehicle that was such a dog, that my wife's 2003 Highlander could blow it's doors off (it would, it's 4V 3.0L is pretty ballsy), and that if I bought it I would spend the short time I owned it telling my self "Wow I should of had a V-8"...

Ha thats funny. Yea I've driven several v6's a 02 and 04 before and I dunno if I could understand the thinking in this from Ford. Never driven a 2011+ v6 so i couldn't say how they perform but I've driven an 05 and 08 v6 too and they were just about the same feel as the older v6's.
