The first picture is my old set up. HID Kit in the stock headlights, notice the two patterns of beam right above cut off. Those would light up overhead signs on the freeway from like 300ft out(thats not a good thing lol)

You could put HID's in the projector headlights you mentioned, but again. There desined for halogen lights so the results will be better but still not perfect. 2nd pic is an example of HID projectors vs Halogen projectors with HID bulbs.
Ahhh man! I haven't been a member for 30 days so I can't view the pics. So what would you reccomend so I can get the best of both worlds, what is the best setup? This is such a tough decision!! haha I don't know anything about HID systems, like what type and where do I get started. Also, if I don't want to go the HID route, then what would you reccomend as the best bulb (a bright, fresh whitish bluish light) for the Raxiom Smoked Halo Projectors? Thanks for all you guys' help, I really appreciate the replies.

Thats the direction im gonna go for now. Just gonna get some 4300k hid's and mount em up. Until I can find some good HID projectors prebuilt for the mustang...I dont have the resources or skills of StockD!

I had these headlights a little while back and the light quality wasn't great as already stated. I currently have smoked OEM clear corner headlights and I put HIDs in. I have ddm tuning HIDs in my headlights and fog lights and they work really well. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DD...ast-35W-or-55W

What headlights weren't that great? You mean the Raxiom Projectors? You reccomend me not getting those? I just want to make the right decision before I unload a bunch of money. Ahh projectors with H1's or other assemblies with HID kits. Does anyone know a site or place where I can really get educated on the subject. How do you know if a certain HID kit will fit a certain headlight assembly?

@ Onesik: If you look at the sites they usually have a drop down box for bulb type replacement. If you have H1 bulbs then you get the H1 Hid replacements....If you do a google search and hit up the websites of vendors there is alot of information there. Also there are many threads out there as well, Just remember google loves you and is watching over you like the big brother you never knew you had!

@sean: Did you use the H1 kit? 35W or 55W? What else did you get with it (the options drop downs) or was it just the bulbs and ballasts?

id personally stay away from the HID KIT route, (although i was one of em at one time.)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-...ber-99-04.html these (can be found ebay for cheaper) with any of the bulbs i mentioned earlier in the thread.

or pay me to retro some HID projectors lol.

Nah man, it still didn't let me look at them. So I've done some research and have a fairly good idea of how HID's work and their Kelvin rating. So if I choose to now go the HID route, then what kind of headlight assemblies would be best. I don't want to get pulled over for blinding everyone haha. Regular or smoked stock assembly and a 9007 HID conversion kit? or Projector assemblies and H1 HID conversion kit? or something else? Please advise...

Your best bet would be getting a good set of projectors retrofitted into your headlights. There are a few websites that will do that for you, I've heard good things about http://www.theretrofitsource.com/
