Default disco fuel line w/o tool?

just wondering if there's an easy way to disconnect the line at the point where it connects to the fuel rail? If not im gunna cut the thing off. dont feel like wastin cash on a tool im only gunna use once. tried the screwdriver thing, and its not exactly workin so well.

oh, and does anyone have any need for a stock fuel rail?

i'm running new edelbrock rails, and new fuel lines, so no need for all the old stuff...

well you can buy a cheap plastic set. I know they can be a pain in the *** to get off sometimes i got lucky when i took the lines off my mustang when i did the intake swap. usually got to cuss at them for an hr to get them off. i have about 3 different sets and they all kinda suck one day i will break down and buy a good set like Macco or something

nah, wont need a set. at this point if i cant get any other lines after 10 minutes, i'm cuttin' 'em. no sense in spending the time or cash when i plan on replacing every line, and going with AN fittings..

The cheap plastic tools work the best and there like 10 bucks, using screwdrivers can damage the spring inside thats why its recommends not to use them.

yea, not really worried about damaging them. converting to AN fittings.
10$ less on a tool i dont need, is 10$ more i can spend on 2 AN fittings.

only PITA thing is noone locally (within 30 minutes) sells AN fittings so i gotta mail order everything :/ makes for a long build when i realize i need an extra fitting.
