The secret to the CAI, headers, and exhaust is that they lean the car out a bit. The extra mileage that you should see will be more obvious on the highway.
my old 4.10'd automatic used to do 18 in town and 24 on the interstate! with stock gears in the one i have now and being a 5 speed I was getting 26 on the interstate and about 20 in town. My car actually gets better gas mileage than my 2.5l 4 cylinder ranger. It amazes people these cars can do mid 20's for some reason!

It's really all how and where you drive. I used to get 27.1 average on every single tank in my V6 Accord when I lived further out. Now that I live in town I've been getting roughly 25mpg in the Accord. Typically I drive the Accord all week, and the Mustang on the weekends - unless its just a beautiful day. This works out best since I end up driving through lots of stop and go traffic coming home at night. The GT probably gets 14mpg in traffic (haven't really found out yet).
My personal best currently with my set up is 19mpg city and 25mpg highway. I average 23. I got the 19 city by actually turning off the engine when I was waiting at a light. It made a noticeable difference.
I do about 90% city driving and my worst tank was 12.7 mpg and my best was ~17 mpg.
Me too, i get about the same. I have absolutely no idea how some people are saying they get 25+ mpg. I have a light right foot and my cars in great shape so i dont know what the deal is
