Engine caught fire and more
Hey everyone i have a 2000 Mustang GT convertible
After about 20 min of driving when i try to accelerate it kinda shakes and exhaust sounds way different. I took it in over a month ago when it got really bad and they couldn't find anything wrong and it caught on fire a week later. I was told the manifold was leaking really bad so i paid for it to be fixed now its doing it all over again and they cant find anything wrong. I did notice 2 of the spark plugs on passenger side were wet really bad before it caught on fire i dont know if the leaking manifold did that but any help would be nice so i can get this fixed before it catches fire again.

This was on an old foxbody, but I had one catch fire due to a faulty fan controller chip shorting out. Have you/they checked the electrical system and fuses? Just a thought, no real knowledge of your problem to base it on. That wouldn't make it shake, but maybe you've got multiple problems going on...
