Default 98 mustang gt no spark

so my mustang was running fine. just got back home from a 160 mile round trip and it ran fine the whole time. my wife was headed to work this mornin and it acted a little funny and she went on anyway and it seemed to clear up until she down shifted to 4th and it died. it cranks fine and i checked the fel rail and it has really good fuel pressure so i checked the spark and there isnt any. like i said it ran fine yestaerday and now it wont start. any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Did It run for about 5 minutes before it shut off on your wife? I would check the crank position sensor. If the car starts later on tonight or even tomorrow I can almost gaurantee it is the Crank Sensor

sometimes you have to get the air out of the system, not sure if yours has a shraeder valve, but I would hold that down while cranking to make sure no air is in the line, just make sure to put a rag around it when you do it and only for a split second

If that's not it, next I would check the fuse for the fuel pump, if that's good, then fuel filter. After that it can really only be the fuel pump.

there should be a fuel pump reset button in your trunk
