I have a 2000 gt 5 speed, I bought a 2002 v6 with a perfect interior, the car will be here in a few hrs, i want to swap out the dash first thing, my question in how to i wire up the traction control button and defrost. Can someone point me to a write_up, also anyone need parts in Missouri?

Edit:
I am not familiar with the v6 interior but I would assume all you are going to need to do is move the wires to where they need to be on the new dash.

Where you at in Missouri?

I am not tracking, what is the benefit of this? Your current vehicles interior is in rough shape?

That is correct, it was my highschool car, I want to get it back in shape, the car was white originally, I painted it orange and changed the interior black with dye which now looks like crap, so I had a parts car delivered today. I wanted the double den radio and better console. I got the new dash removed today along with the rest on the interior

My question as evolved now to can I just plug the main dash harness from the new dash at the junction underneath the driver fender with out problems such as setting my airbag off or shorting out something

So I went ahead with the dash conversion, not getting any advice I found these problems

Rear defrost stays on, causing my battery to die.
Traction control switch doesn't work.
Green pigtail under passenger kick panel is different, my car had 3 extra wires, I cut the pigtail from the donor car and old wireing harness and made a adaptor, after matching all wires I had 3 extra then the 2002 had.

I hope this helps the next guy. When I get time off again I may post a update after I fix the issues above.
