have a 98 mustang gt ildes fine for as long as i like then when i take off i get no more than 1/2 mile it bogs down and goes dead and to start it take 3 to 4 trys to turn over then does same thing over again. have put new fuel filter and maf sensor on and still same thing. anyone have any ideas.

no car just goes dead.

Trouble codes/check engine light....if you have a handheld tuner or know someone who does you can hook it up and scan the car for codes

ok, no check engine light don't know about codes going to use a co-workers code scanner but it will not be for the next couple day before i use it.

update: just got it running found out it was the rubber bushings in the cap on the fuel pump that plugs into the pump. was not getting any pressure to the fuel rail. changed those and it runs great now. only thing is you can't not buy those parts new( I was told by two ford dealer) don't real know if its true or not? Got the parts from mps autosalvage in statham ga . the guys there were great just gave me the parts for free.thanks for the help guys.
