rearend spring advice

Default rearend spring advice

so ive replaced rearend springs, with new stock ones. got new konis, all around. now, ive decided that my *** end is a little to spongy. would stiffer springs, tighten me up? maybe , just some spacers. i dont know. the front end seems to perform, just right. its all new up there also. any suggestions? thank ya !

i dont know if u call them stock, but they're koni street r. shocks and coil springs in baqck and struts and coil springs on front. no coil overs.

thats not stock. hmm. its possible they are really old and just worn out. say if they got put on in 2001...thats 12 years of use on an aftermarket part.


When you press your body weight down on the back of the car does its bounce like a water bed or stay stiff.

Ebach has some realllllly affordable spring you can check out.

sorry i thought you said you had new Koni springs all around and didnt know what struts you had. either way i linked you to some good springs.

Stiffer springs will help tighten it up. I like using these:

The four link rear end setup is a pour design on cornering performance. So a bad design plus a decade of wear on parts will result in pour performance. The stiffer springs will help but if all the bushings are shot, that axle will wiggle like a worm still.
