Default help 97 dohc svt

Well I got my engine taking apart by my buddy and he did not put it at tdc and I got the crank changed it was damaged and the machine shop rotated the assembly now I'm ready to put back tougher I have the pistons lined up to tdc how do I line up the heads can I rotate the cams gears while there installed in the heads help I'm lost

Yes u can rotate the cams if the chains are off

the cains that go to the camshaft are off do i have to take the chains off the heads aswell

sorry the crankshaft chains are off but the cam gear chains are on do i have to take them off aswell

You shouldn't have to, provided they were correct before, then they will be now. Just align the timing marks.

I would either pull all the followers out of the heads or turn the cams so all the valves are closed or you could bend valves once you start to rotate the crank when your reattaching the rods to the crank. And than like stated already just line up the timing marks and you should be good to go
On a side note you are using new bolts on the mains and rods?
