Default Door Hinges

So I got a new set of Door hinge Bushings and pins... Replaced them.. and now I need to adjust how the door shuts... any ideas on the best way to adjust the hinges.. right now the latch is lower than the catch.. i need to raise the door up about 1/4 inch...

HELP A BROTHA OUT

should I just use spacers? or is there a shim availible for this? i know some one knows a quick fix.. that i am missing..

There is no quick fix to align a door. It is all trial & error. You add shims/spacers to either the top and/or bottom hinge to get the door to align properly. How many shims/spacers depends entirely on how offset your door is. If you don’t have the time, I’d advise taking it to a local body shop to do it. Shouldn’t cost too much.

I figured it out.. No shims necessary in the style hinges we have... if the door is sagging while in shut position.. loosen the bolts that attach the hinge to the body.. and push the hinge to the font of the car (if sagging) or towards the rear (if too High).

if the door is tilted in or out at the top or bottom then loosen the bolts on the door and move the direction needed for allignment

get a helper if needed, and a jackstand with a block of wood.. to take the weight off the door...
